Frequently Asked Questions.

All clients experience pain differently. In saying that, mild to moderate pain, and even severe discomfort, can be normal after plastic surgery procedures. Your symptoms will lessen every day but be mindful that they can take up to 2 weeks to go completely—that’s why it’s important to give yourself time and headspace to rest during recovery. Pain medication will be prescribed to you by your Plastic Surgeon, and icepacks can also be used to help with any swelling or discomfort. If you’re concerned about pain after surgery, speak to your Surgeon during your consultation. They are experts in all things plastic surgery and recovery and will be able to provide you with tailored advice.

Surgeon FAQs

CAN I SEE SOME COSMEDITOUR RESULTS?

Yes, we have an extensive collection of real Before & After photos in our Before & After Gallery.

DO I NEED A GP REFERRAL FOR PLASTIC SURGERY IN AUSTRALIA?

Yes, any clients undergoing Plastic Surgery in Australia will be required to provide a GP Referral to their Plastic Surgeon.

CAN I HAVE PLASTIC SURGERY IF I’M PREGNANT?

CosMediTour will not provide you with a quote or a Surgical Recommendation if you’re currently pregnant. Instead, we recommend clients only proceed with their online assessment:

  • Once you have ceased lactating for 6 months, OR
  • If you are not breast feeding, at least 6-months after giving birth

For client safety:

  • Clients must have ceased breastfeeding six months prior to their surgery date
  • Clients seeking abdominal procedures such as Tummy Tuck or Mummy Makeovers need to be at least 12-months post-partum to undergo their surgery.

IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT FOR PLASTIC SURGERY PROCEDURES IN AUSTRALIA?

You must be 18+ years old to have Plastic Surgery with CosMediTour.

WHAT IS YOUR PROCESS LIKE?

Your CosMediTour process begins with a free online assessment. This can be conducted in the comfort of your own home and is the best way to receive your obligation-free quote and tailored Surgical Recommendation.

You will be required to have two consultations with your Surgeon before your surgery date can be confirmed. One of these consultations must be in person, the other can be over the phone or via video call. Your second consultation will need to be at least seven days prior to your preferred surgery date.

After your second consultation, your surgery dates will be confirmed. You will of course receive ongoing support from your personal Client Manager every step of the way.

To find out more, contact our Client Support Team, or simply book a consultation.

DO I NEED TO PAY A DEPOSIT?

To get your journey started, we just require a service fee of $1,000. This enables us to secure and arrange for payment of your two pre-surgery consultations. Under Medical Guidelines, we can’t confirm your surgery date until seven days after you’ve completed your second consultation and given informed consent. However, to assist with your planning we can certainly notify your Surgeon of your preferred dates and tentatively hold one or more suitable dates.

In accordance with our Cancellation & Amendment Policy, the holding fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. However, in certain circumstances, it may be used for another CosMediTour or CosMediSmile service that takes place within 24 months from the date of the initial holding fee payment.

WHEN WILL MY FACE TO FACE CONSULTATION TAKE PLACE?

In line with current Medical Guidelines:

  • Clients must attend two consultations, one of which must be face to face.
  • Your second consultation must take place at least 7-days prior to your surgery date.

After the second consultation, your surgery date can be confirmed.

During your consultations, the surgeon will give to you details of the final surgical treatment plan, an evaluation of whether or not you should proceed with the surgery, and any other medical or health advice which the surgeon deems suitable.

If you’re not sure where to start, take a look at our Blog and ask your General Practitioner (GP) for advice.
