It is a purpose-built day surgery facility housing two state of the art multi-functional operating theatres, providing patients and medical practitioners with an outstanding quality of service. The hospital specialises in ophthalmology, adult and paediatric dental surgery, ENT, oral-maxillofacial surgery, plastic and reconstructive surgery and general surgery.

Crows Nest Day Surgery features a Medical Advisory Committee as an integral part of Governance mechanisms to support safety and quality. Medical Advisory Committees support clinical compliance and excellence and consist of surgeons from various specialties, anaesthetists and other medical practitioners, as well as nursing and administrative management.


Crows Nest Day Surgery is accredited to the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (NSQHS), and is licensed by the Department of Health. The NSQHSS are ten specific standards encompassing the spectrum of clinical care, governance and consumer (patient, carer and community) partnerships.The facility is also certified by GlobalMark (to ISO 9001:2008) or by the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS), and are licensed by the relevant state health authorities.
