About Breast Augmentation Surgery

Step 1: Enquiry & Assessment

Step 2: Surgeon Consultation
If you’re a suitable candidate for breast augmentation, you’ll then meet with your plastic surgeon to further discuss your surgery. They’ll assess your body composition and anatomy, as well as skin elasticity to then recommend the implant type, shape, size and placement they believe will best suit your expectations and body.
Step 3: Surgery Day
Your breast augmentation surgery will take place in one of our Sydney or Gold Coast private hospitals of your choosing. On the day, you’ll be placed under general anaesthetic for the duration of your procedure (typically around 2 hours). Most of our patients can return home within 2 to 3 hours of awakening, providing good health.
Step 4: Recovery
In the weeks following your surgery, you may experience some discomfort. You’ll not be able to drive for up to a week, and most of our patients are off work for up to 1 to 2 weeks, depending on the work they do. Your surgeon will also recommend you wear a post-surgical support garment for 6 weeks, and will provide you with a personalised recovery plan, including when you can reintroduce exercise.

Do breasts feel natural after augmentation?
Depending on how much existing natural tissue you have, modern breast implants can feel quite natural. Silicone implants are known to feel quite natural as their gel consistency mimics the feeling of a natural breast. Does a breast augmentation include a lift?
