Surgeon FAQs
HOW QUALIFIED WILL MY PLASTIC SURGEON BE?
In Australia, Plastic Surgeons are required to complete a minimum of 5 years postgraduate study in addition to their original MBBS degree (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery). In total, they have at least 12 years of specialised medical and surgical education—on graduating, they become a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons (FRACS) and are accredited as Surgeons by the Australian Medical Council (AMC).
Plastic Surgeons are different to Cosmetic Doctors (medical practitioners with significantly less surgical training). To learn more about the difference, click here.Â
HOW MANY PLASTIC SURGEONS DO YOU PARTNER WITH?
We work with numerous Plastic Surgeons across Gold Coast, Sydney, and internationally. Our Surgeons are renowned for their skills and expertise and work out of state-of-the-art hospitals and clinics. Our Client Support Team will recommend the most suitable Plastic Surgeon for your specific procedure based on the information you provide in your online assessment.
CAN I HAVE A CONSULTATION WITH MY SURGEON BEFORE I COMPLETE THE FREE ASSESSMENT?
No—our assessment process must be completed first to ensure that you are eligible for surgery. To start your CosMediTour journey, complete your Free Assessment online to receive an obligation-free recommendation and quote.
